It may be a simple video but Jennifer Cutting does offer some interesting and laughable information as she explains May Day throughout its history.
May Morning is a celebration in Oxford that dates back over 500 years. Here is the St. John's Choir singing atop the Magdalen Tower of Magdalen College in Oxford, England.

For more info on the happening of the day, visit the Oxford City Council site.

The Importance of May Day, according to Monty Python.

"The significance of May Day is...is...um..."
I need to be in England sometime for this event. I just seems like a bunch of people getting together for endless merry-making!

May Day is Lei Day in Hawaii...and Tokyo? Apparently this video is from the dress rehearsals of the Lei Queen Contest in Japan. I don't understand why the Lei Queen Contest wasn't in Hawaii, but, oh well!
Unfortunately, there is no audio provided but it’s cool to see footage recorded for a May Day Parade from 1958.

Audibly is the Boys’ Choir; visually is Montserrat.
The video may be wonky, but just close your eyes and listen.

Note to self: get traditional Polish costume and find a Polish male dancer (also in costume) who will lift me high in the air as as these dancers do.
If you watch PBS on Sunday nights, this host will be no stranger to you. Laurence Welk popularized "champagne music" and bubbles on his tv show (1951-1982) and brought music into the home. Oftentimes, he would bring on accordionist Myron  Floren  to wow the crowds as they danced across the stage or bobbed in the seats. Truly, this man has magic fingers!
A band that usually plays "polka versions" of pop songs, Those Idiots were found at the Central Terminal this year and they did not disappoint.
Three-time Grammy nominated, The Buffalo Touch are a group of talented musicians and songwriters who have been leading the Buffalo polka scene for quite some time. Theirs is the kind of music that reaches down into the Polish nook of your soul and lifts you to dance. Here’s an excerpt from their latest CD!
It starts off a bit slow, but wait about 30 seconds and boy, can these folks polka!
How can you not enjoy youself when you listen to this music? Lenny Gomulka and the Chicago Push (12-time Grammy nominated) are crowd pleasers everywhere they go. Here they are in Buffalo for a Dyngus Day celebration.

Hilarious Irish TV show about 3 Irish priests and their house keeper...sooo good.
